When should I use Diasip?

At Nutridrinks , we believe that we should all consume a variety of foods from all of the major food groups to meet the necessary nutritional requirements. This said , there are times when this is difficult and additional nutrients and calories are required , maybe due to a reduction in usual food intake. Diasip is specifically formulated for Diabetic patients who may:

• Have a poor appetite during or after illness
• For active children (over 3 years of age) and teenagers
• For additional nutritional support for the elderly
• Before and after surgery to promote recovery
• After dental work when the mouth may be too sore to eat
• Before and after sports as a s nutritional snack
• During pregnancy and breastfeeding

Indications

For enteral use only.

• Diabetes mellitus
• Hyperglycaemia

Contraindications

Not for intravenous use. Not suitable for infants and children under 3 years of age. Not suitable for patients with galactosaemia.

• Children under one year of age
• Used with caution in children aged 1-6 years
• Patients with galactosaemia
• Patients with fructosaemia
• Patients requiring a fibre free diet

Precautions

Not suitable for use as a sole cource of nurition in children under 6 years of age.

Directions for use

Diasip is ready to drink and best served chillred. Shake well before use.

UHT sterilised.

Storage

Diasip should be stored in a cool, dry place (5 - 25C). Once opened, Diasip should be consumed within 4 hours or stores in a refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Discard unused contents thereafter.

Shelf Life

12 months. Best before date: see side of bottle.
