Solgar Dry Vitamin A 5000 IU contains the fat-soluble vitamin A. Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin which can be found in two forms: retinol and beta carotene. Retinol can be found in foods from an animal source; and beta carotene can be found in colourful fruits and vegetables. Retinol can be used directly by the body; whereas beta carotene is converted into retinol before it can be used by the body. Several of the body’s systems are dependent on sufficient levels of Vitamin A. It helps to nourish the skin and support wound healing .
Vitamin A also supports eye health; including supporting normal night and daytime vision. Solgar Dry Vitamin A 5000 IU helps to: Support normal iron metabolism Support normal mucous membranes Support normal skin Support eye health and normal vision Support immune system function Vitamin A - Pregnant and breastfeeding women should not exceed 300 micrograms (1000 IUs) per day.
